I am going to get my things from storage!!! YAY! Finally! I am hoping to make a mini vacation out of it too. I have an old landlord from Chicago who has a cute motel in Clearwater Beach - I'm hoping to work out a deal in exchange for 1 week staying there... Or possibly renting a car and cruising down to the keys... Aaaah! That will be nice!
So - Florida here I come!!! I'm still hoping for this project to happen - but, if not I just got a credit card with enough of a limit that I can finally do this! I hate to rack up debt - but, it's been 4 years since I've slept in my own bed, listened to my CD's or sat in my leather chair. Hell - all my clothes and shoes! My darkroom equipment. I'm really excited!
Had to turn down a project recently because I don't know enough back endy kinda stuff. I am trying to learn - but, it really is hard to find the time. I am considering asking if they don't mind we work out a deal where I expand my skills and bill them only for the time it should take me to make things work. Need to figure out how to approach it.
Trying to get up earlier to get more done. Recently, I have been sucked back into my internet addiction. I need to set up parental controls for my browser.
Finally worked out the velveteen coats and will be making a handful for
people. I'm making 5 of each and the red is already sold out. I have 2
spaces left for pink coats.
Finishing up Shawn's order today and making a couple squeaky tees for Lisa and then I'm making coats!
and shit - it's only September and I'm shivering...
Osa and I went up north to visit my Mom and Da(vi)d. She had 2 good romps in the woods. She was very good most of the time. Except when she disappeared on me for a good 20 minutes. Which, 20 minutes of your dog being lost in the woods is an eternity! Gathering from the deer I saw her take off after the second time, I realized that's what she had done the first time. There is no stopping her if she is in the chase! Completely blissed out afterwards, covered in mud and smelly! Wow! She could have been in the next town they were running so fast! Deer are fast - but, so is Osa! (as you can see from this picture of her running on the beach - chasing Piper)
